CoMBaT Insomnia: A Randomized Controlled Trial of Cognitive-Behavioral vs. Mindfulness-Based Treatment for TBI-Related Insomnia and Post-Traumatic Stress Symptoms

Welcome! Learn how CoMBaT Insomnia study participants are helping to increase knowledge about the role of insomnia symptoms and the effectiveness of non-medication therapies for treating sleep disruption in persons with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). 

What is CoMBaT Insomnia?

CoMBaT Insomnia is a study compares the effectiveness of two non-medication therapies for sleep disturbance.  The goal of this study is to reduce symptoms of insomnia and depression in people who  have sustained a traumatic brain injury and have trouble sleeping. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Current or former member of the uniformed services.
  • Meet the VAMC/DoD criteria for TBI
  • At least 3 months since head injury
  • At least 3 months of insomnia
  • 18 year of age or older

Meeting the above conditions is the initial qualification for the CoMBaT Insomnia Study. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. 

Participation will be during off-duty hours.
